Sermon

Evangelist Daniel Jean visited our church on 11/13/05 and preached on the Scripture passage found in 2 Chronicles 7:14.

The focus of the Evangelist was on the nature and the purpose of the Church, the body of Christ. As this month we in the Christian world are praying and paying attention to the persecuted church throughout the world, Brother Daniel challenged us to never abandon our faith, and to keep the light of Christ shining in our households and in our lives, as is the case for the many Christians persecuted for their faith, especially in South-east Asia and Africa.

Without the grace of God through Christ, indicated Brother Daniel, many of us might not even be alive today. Our sin and our bondage to sensual preoccupations had long placed us in an unenviable position, away from God. It is only the blood of Christ that has given us the rejoicing power to be in God's presence, and to glorify His name.

We would encourage you, Christians, to remain faithful to Christ and His redemptive power. We further challenge you to bring this light to one person who has not yet accepted Christ as His Lord and Savior. May you also find time to pray for the persecuted church throughout the world. God bless you and your family.

Pastor Daniel Dumont.
